Compassion Foundation’s Grant Application Is Currently Closed

To All Grantees:
Annually the Compassion Foundation accepts applications for grants at this time of year. However, we will not be accepting grant proposals now. We are currently in the process of reorganizing to strengthen our organization and developing new sources of revenue. Our ultimate goal is to grow the Compassion Foundation on several levels so that our donations can be more substantial and therefore more meaningful in the future. Thanks for your understanding and continued support.

The mission of the Compassion Foundation is helping those in need with God’s love and compassion as our guide. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization serving Kane, Kendall, and Western DuPage Counties. Through a variety of fundraising activities, we raise funds to provide grants to groups or individuals who work to bring our mission to life. Funding is based on need, not creed, thus we grant funds in a non-discriminatory manner.

Applications for assistance are only accepted at a certain time of the year and considered by the Board of Directors Grant Selection Committee in early December at which time applicants will be notified of the boards’ decision. Funds are generally disbursed annually in December.

Grants may be considered and disbursed at other times of the year based on board approval. Any one person or organization is limited to one grant with a maximum amount of $2,500 annually. Exceptions may be made on an emergency basis as approved by the Board of Directors.

Grantees will be required to provide an annual report summarizing the program for which the grant was received and whether or not the stated goals and objectives were met.
